  • camera/video camera
  • comfortable boots
  • layers of clothing to prepare for cool fall mornings, and warm afternoons

Can I bring my dog?
Yes. We offer a clean, dry shelter for dogs to stay.  We do ask that dogs are disciplined hunters and controlled by their owners.

Can non-hunting guests accompany hunters?
Yes. Non-hunting guests are more than welcome.  A $75 per day charge covers meals and lodging.

How do I get there?
MapQuest

  • Sioux Falls airport 2-hour drive. Discounted car rentals available through National Rental, Hofer's Used Cars, and Budget.
  • Gregory - 3,800 foot runway
  • Winner - 4,000 foot runway

What will the weather be like?
Varies, bring layers to accommodate changing conditions.

Will other groups be hunting with our group?
No! We do not double book groups. However we do limit our number of hunters each season in order to maintain healthy game populations.

How do we obtain licenses?

  • Pheasant licenses will be available at the lodge or in a nearby town.
  • Turkey and deer tags are lottery draw.

When and how do we book hunts?
Contact us by phone or E-mail.  The sooner you book your hunt the better.  We do have some openings left for the 2002 seasons.

Are children welcome?
Children 12 years of age and older are welcome at Traxx. Upon completion of a hunters safety course, children 12 year of age and older are able to apply for or purchase licenses in South Dakota. Parent/child hunts are some of the most exciting and rewarding hunts.

What is the safety policy at TRAXX?
As your primary goal of the trip is hunting success, our goal is safety. Hunters are required to wear blaze orange attire and shooting glasses while hunting, both of which can be provided.
